About Lauren
My name is Lauren Stroud, born in 1987 and raised in Brenham, TX, where I still live today. Growing up as a country girl, I cherished riding horses and dreamed of helping others. During my transition from Blinn Junior College to Sam Houston State University, I was diagnosed with an aggressive autoimmune disease that left me wheelchair-bound and fighting for over 10 years. Despite these challenges, my positive and stubborn personality kept me from giving up. After years of being a lab rat, I decided against pursuing a nursing career, having seen enough of hospitals. Instead, I focused on bookkeeping for about 10 years, but this wasn’t the fulfilling life I sought. I still wanted to help people and began assisting my husband, Chase Stroud, with his long-range shooting school, Pump's Precision Rifle Training. This opportunity allowed us to connect with remarkable individuals, including many Veterans and gun enthusiasts. We even partnered with the Mend the Heart Foundation, which works specifically with Veterans struggling with PTSD, hosting outdoor range-day therapy sessions that were truly epic! Veterans hold a special place in my heart, and this experience opened doors for me to get more involved in supporting them with their PTSD struggles. I delved into plant and holistic healing, aiming to not only heal myself but also to provide Reiki healing in Brenham, Texas, to others in my community. I aspire to offer in-home Reiki sessions and explore mobile Reiki near me, as well as Reiki for pets near me, to extend my reach. I'm committed to donating more of my time to non-profits and helping our Veterans. I was Raised a Christian and now an Ordained Minister and Certified Reiki Master and Sound Healing Practitioner. Although I’ll always be learning, I feel it’s time to touch the community around me and assist as many people as I can. This journey is not for the weak or closed-minded; it's a new path toward a better life for those willing to explore and accept it.
