My name is Lauren Stroud, I was born in 1987 and was raised in Brenham, TX - this is still where I currently live. I was blessed to be raised a country girl where I loved to ride horses and wanted to help others when I grew up. I had developed a rather aggressive autoimmune disease when I was transitioning from Blinn Junior College to Sam Houston State University. This autoimmune disease had me on my death bed and wheelchair bound, it was a disease I battled for over 10 years. I had a positive and stubborn personality to never give up; I never let it defeat me. After I was a lab rat for all of those years, I had decided I did not want to go into a nursing career anymore, I had enough of hospitals at that point. I ended up steering my career in bookkeeping and that kept me busy for about 10 years. I discovered that wasn't the life for me though, I still wanted to help people... I had also been helping my husband Chase Stroud run his long-range shooting school - Pump's Precision Rifle Training. This had opened a door where we get to work with amazing men, many Veterans and gun enthusiasts. We were given an opportunity to work with a non-profit - Mend the Heart Foundation where they specifically work with Veterans struggling with PTSD, we had a little outdoor range-day therapy session which was epic! Veterans have always had a place in my heart, this just opened the door for me to get more involved and how to help with their struggles of PTSD. I went down a rabbit hole of plant and holistic healing, to not only heal myself, but for how I could start using holistic healing to help others in my community. I wanted to start donating more of my time to non-profits and helping our Veterans as well. I'm still learning but finally feel in my heart that it's time to start touching the community around me, to help as many people as I can. I was raised a Christian, now an Ordained Minister, and I'm a certified Reiki and Sound Healing Practitioner as well. This is not for the weak or closed minded, this is a new path you are willing to walk, a new path to a better life, if you are willing to explore and accept it.
